About New Grounds

Thousands of transformative organisations around the UK exist to support people who have experienced the justice system, all focused on different aspects of reintegrating into society. Those organisations are keen to collaborate and together can generate even more impact. It can be challenging for an individual to navigate all these different services and identify which ones are right for them in their current circumstances. And for the service providers, sometimes it is difficult to know who else is out there to team up with. At Accenture we know that technology can be a powerful way of connecting people, organisations and support collaboration. So our team set out to create a solution that helps people with a criminal record access the right resources, while making it easier for organisations to collaborate. We entered Accenture's Global Sustainable Innovation Challenge and won the opportunity to bring the idea to life - and that was the beginning of New Grounds. We take inspiration from, and are proud to partner with, the Fair Chance Business Alliance (FCBA), a leading voice in fair chance employment, with deep expertise, and a network of employers committed to the cause. Together, we combine Accenture’s technology and design capabilities with FCBA’s insight and community connections. Our platform is built with and for people who have experienced the justice system, employers, and charities. Our shared goal is simple: to remove barriers, amplify support, and create fairer futures.
